So Many Uses… So Little Carbs
I LOVE these. You can use this for so many different things. I made meatloaf the other night and used these instead of breadcrumbs. I was expecting someone in my family to say something about the taste being different since I had not told them I used these instead. NOTHING. I have also used these like chips for dip, with peanut butter, as bread for a sandwich. I can’t wait to see what else I can use them for. They are AWESOME!

Bran Crisp Oat Bread Recipe
1 cup of whole wheat flour
½ cup applesauce
¼ cup maple syrup
½ cup crushed walnuts
¼ cup crushed almonds
1 tbsp. sunflower oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract
¾ cup nonfat yogurt
¾ cup crushed GG Crackers or GG Bran Sprinkles
½ a cup rolled oats
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 egg whites
Preheat oven to 375. Spray a 9 inch loaf pan thoroughly with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mix flour, GG Bran Sprinkles, oats, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. In a smaller bowl, combine egg whites, yogurt, applesauce, maple syrup, oil and vanilla. Whisk until smooth. Combine both sets of ingredients. Fold in nuts. Add the batter to the pan, leveling the top with a rubber spatula. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
